Meditate through your iPhone

I’ve always been a bit weary of how much technology can take over our lives, leaving us feeling a little empty on the inside. The whole way of communicating has changed radically. More than a decade ago, you’d be lucky if you had access to the internet to look up something you were interested in.

The iPhone has taken communication a step further. I’m a great fan of the iPhone, it’s intuitive and it’s almost like having a firm, reliable virtual friend. Anything you’d ever need can be captured on your iPhone making you less reliant on sitting in front of a computer. guided-insight-meditation-iphone-ipod-touch-screenshot-video-prepare-point-of-focus-step2

The iPhone is hugely versatile. And as I’m not one to be chained to my desk, even though I have no choice as my work dictates, the iPhone and particularly this new meditation app, opens up a whole new world of possibility.

As well as developing this site, I’ve been thinking of a meditation iPhone app for a while and it appears they’ve beaten me to it. Not that there’s no room for any other iPhone apps but this one is very well researched  with Dr. Sood at the forefront of the innovation, and according to this CBS newscast, this meditation app really does seem to help people. As always, the Americans have been much more forward thinking in their approach, but take a look at the news story and leave a comment. Let me know if you think meditating through your iPhone is the way to go.
